Quayside
On the water's edge, at Granger Bay marina. A minimalist palette of white, and neutral tones frames the space, with silver accents through sculptural vases and fittings, and the yachts moored outside doing the rest of the talking.

Custom wall-to-wall cabinetry runs through the living space and bathroom, concealing storage behind flush, handle-free fronts so nothing interrupts the clean lines of the room. Large sliding windows pull back fully, turning the marina view into part of the living space rather than a backdrop to it. Furnishings stay deliberately restrained: grey upholstered dining chairs, sculptural grey egg chairs, a freestanding tufted daybed, each piece chosen for form over ornament. Framed black and white photography punctuates the wall.

Our approach here favoured discipline over decoration: every finish, from the wood-toned bathroom cabinetry to the trio of hammered silver vases on the dining table, was chosen to hold its place in a room built around light and water rather than clutter. The open-plan layout gives a single occupant the scale to host without ever feeling empty when he is alone. The result is a marina apartment that reads as calm rather than sparse.
