A two bedroom apartment became three, with the kitchen, dining, and living areas opened into a single plan running out to a large balcony. Marble flooring carries from the interior to the terrace without a break. Dramatic dropped ceilings with uplit bulkheads lift the ceiling height visually, and a mirrored wall doubles the sea view while stretching the room. Weathered oak, desaturated to a silvery grey, mirrors the driftwood tones, misty horizon, and seafoam glimpsed through the balcony glass.

The muted, matte finish absorbs harsh sun glare and still holds the warm, golden light of sunrise and sunset. Outside, natural straw furniture and glass-topped side tables sit beneath a banana plant on the marble terrace. Indoors, geometric dining chairs, blue-toned cushions, a grasscloth feature wall, and a tall tufted headboard layer texture without crowding the room. The reconfigured layout gives a holiday apartment the third bedroom a family needs and the open plan a host wants. The result is a home where the ocean stays the main feature.
